UPDATE II: Officials have confirmed that three people were killed in the shooting, which took place at a Rite Aid distribution center in Harford County, Maryland. The suspect was a temporary employee at the warehouse. She turned the gun on herself after carrying out the attack and later died at the hospital.

UPDATE: During a press conference Thursday afternoon, Harford Sheriff Jeffrey R. Gahler said police have a suspect in custody and that the suspect is in critical condition. It was also revealed that a handgun was used in the shooting.

Early Thursday morning, reports came in about a mass shooting with “multiple victims” near Aberdeen, Md.

The Harford Sheriff Twitter account confirmed a mass shooting had taken place. It also stated that the “situation is fluid” and asked people to “please avoid the area.”

The situation is said to no longer be active.

Shortly after 9 a.m., Harford Deputies were dispatched to the scene.

ATF Baltimore is also responding to the incident.

Little is known about the shooting, as there is no information regarding the total number of victims, who the shooter is and if they’re in custody, or what type of firearm was used.

However, recent reports state that at least three people have died.

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan is “closely monitoring” the situation.
