Obama's Inaugural Lies Exposed

January 20, 2009 – President Obama made some big promises to the people. One year later has he kept his word? Let’s take a look at what he said and then what he did.

Barack Hussein Obama made a lot of promises during his two-year long campaign, and attempted to solidify these pledges in his inaugural address.  True, these promises took a softer form (some might call it pap) in his inaugural speech, but those who supported him and voted for him in 2008 understood what he was meant to do on their behalf.  This was, of course, before most of us, both on the left and on the right, knew what his real agenda was.

Well, has he delivered?

On his first day on the job, Barack Hussein Obama said about his administration:

“We will act, not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth:"

Unemployment, which Obama promised during the campaign would not rise over 8.5%, is now 10+%, and in certain urban areas and states, it is over 14%.  Among urban youth, it is above 17%, and these percentages get worse in every successive jobs report.  Actually, I should correct myself, it seems that some new jobs were created in the Obama Administration, just not anywhere in the non-virtual United States of America.  These jobs were created in quite large numbers in the imaginary Congressional districts and  made-up zip code areas created by certain highly imaginative members of the Obama Administration.  Promised growth in the American economy, more than a year later, has not only not occurred, but actually the opposite has happened; the economy, in fact, continues to plummet .  And this is after an almost $1 trillion stimulus plan, enacted on the heels of the over $700 billion TARP plan, with a stunning lack of information provided to the American people on  where their money went.  This ‘transparency’ was, of course, promised by Obama as he sought support in passing these measures.  It would seem that the Obama Administration has decided that numerous other ‘crises,’ other than that involving our economy, are much more important; e.g., the health care non-crisis, the climate change hoax; a second stimulus after the first one didn’t work and, of course, golf.  Our President’s response to the economic needs of the American people will occur in the order to which it has been relegated, which, one imagines, will be shortly before November of this year.

“We’ll restore science to its rightful place:"

The science Obama has most promoted, to be in “its rightful place,” is the now proven hoax of ‘climate change.’  Having supported the passage of climate change legislation in the House, which would, of course, bankrupt the United States of America and its people (seems to be a common theme of the Obama administration).  Though it was thoroughly condemned by the majority of the American people, Obama quickly moved forward to the Senate and supported the efforts of eminent scientists John Kerry and Barbara Boxer in the introduction of their equally bankrupting and disastrous legislation.  After the hugely comic Copenhagen Climate Change Conference late last year, things seemed to be put on hold regarding that particular method of achieving the destruction of the United States of America.  But in the meantime, Obama plows ahead in his efforts on behalf of his country and said in his vaunted speech in Cairo:  “On science and technology, we (the United States of America) will launch a new fund to support technological development in Muslim-majority countries, and to help transfer ideas to the marketplace so they can create more jobs.  We’ll open centers of scientific excellence in Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, and appoint new science envoys to collaborate on programs that develop new sources of energy, create green jobs, digitize records, clean water, grow new crops.  Today I’m announcing a new global effort with the Organization of the Islamic Conference to eradicate polio.  And we will also expand partnerships with Muslim communities to promote child and maternal health.”   This will occur while Americans wallow in the devastating problems created by 10+% unemployment in the 50 states (or is it 57? I get so confused) of their own country.

“We will use technology’s wonders to raise health care’s quality and lower its cost.”

The current approval of Obama’s health care proposal, whatever it is because no one has yet read the entirety of either the House or the Senate bill, is 36%, and going down.  This has not deterred this President from aggressively pursuing this most significant aspect of his and his fellow leftists’ agenda, and that is completely transforming our nation’s health care system.  This would result in incalculable destruction not only to our economy, but also the health care of the people of our nation.  Nonetheless, the strenuous efforts by the Obama administration to enact this monstrosity continues unabated, and its supporters, both Congressional and Executive, keep telling us that we ‘will be able to see down the road what great benefit the passage of this bill would be.’  It is evident that the American people see now that this proposal that the left is trying to shove down our throats is so unacceptable in so many ways, from its more than $1 trillion dollar cost, (it is not, as Obama claims, ‘deficit neutral’), its creation of 111 new bureaucracies (and that’s just the start), its destruction of the American insurance industry, and its insertion of a bureaucrat in between you and your doctor from now (passage of the bill) on.  If Obama is successful in achieving its passage, then he would have been successful in keeping this promise; tragically, which would result in the exact opposite of what he said it would achieve for the American people.

“We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories.”

Since one cannot harness the sun and winds and the soil to do anything, these preposterous goals have, of course, not been achieved by the Obama administration.  Much effort nonetheless has been made by Obama and his people to further destroy our economy by investing limitless amounts of money in wind and solar energy, (both of which have been around for years; neither of which has solved our energy problem, and never will).  Concurrently, they purposely ignore clean coal, nuclear energy and exploration of our own natural resources of oil, shale and natural gas; at the same time imposing further limitations nationally on oil exploration and construction of new refineries.  Sailing along in its efforts to harness the elements, the Obama Administration continues to force the people of our nation to comply with global environmental restrictions on our lives and businesses via legislation in the U.S. Congress, various binding and non-binding international agreements and increased Federal regulation.

“We will transform our schools & colleges & universities to meet the demands of a new age.”

At the same time that our entire educational system, on every level and in both public and private education, continues in its seemingly irreversible decline, Obama strengthens teachers’ unions and bureaucrats currently strangling our educational system, while minimizing parental involvement in their childrens’ schools. And, as said in various foreign policy talks, Obama emphasizes the following goals in his educational policy:  “On education, we will expand exchange programs, and increase scholarships, like the one that brought my father to America.  At the same time, we will encourage more Americans to study in Muslim communities.  And we will match promising Muslim students with internships in America; invest in online learning for teachers and children around the world; and create a new online network, so a young person in Kansas can communicate instantly with a young person in Cairo.”  This is while our children are bringing their own school supplies to class and can’t read, write or add when they graduate.  They graduate only 1) because it is politically incorrect not to; 2) it would reflect badly on the unions and the bureaucrats; and 3) because no one in the Federally controlled system, (except parents, who have been made irrelevant)), cares.

“We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waiver in its defense.”

How Obama intends to defend the country he was elected a year ago to lead during a time of war is reflected in the following: “Islam is not part of the problem in combating violent extremism — it is an important part of promoting peace.  We plan to invest $1.5 billion each year over the next five years to partner with Pakistanis to build schools and hospitals, roads and businesses, and hundreds of millions to help those who’ve been displaced.  That’s why we are providing more than $2.8 billion to help Afghans develop their economy and deliver services that people depend on. No system of government can or should be imposed by one nation by any other. America does not presume to know what is best for everyone, just as we would not presume to pick the outcome of a peaceful election.  But I do have an unyielding belief that all people yearn for certain things:  the ability to speak your mind and have a say in how you are governed; confidence in the rule of law and the equal administration of justice; government that is transparent and doesn’t steal from the people; the freedom to live as you choose.  These are not just American ideas; they are human rights.  And that is why we will support them everywhere.” And this is while Obama decides that terrorist combatants are to be tried in American civil courts, takes an extremely bizarre length of time to respond, in an equally bizarre manner, to the most recent terrorist attack in our nation on Christmas day; refuses to acknowledge the Fort Hood terrorist attack as what it was, a terrorist attack, and absolutely refuses to acknowledge that we are at war with Islamic terrorists.  Perhaps his crack Department of Homeland Security Team, led by the imposing Janet Napolitano, has not yet been aware of the following facts: more terrorist acts and attempts took place in the United States in 2009 than in any year since 2001. According to the Rand Corporation, there have been 33 terrorism-related events on these shores since 9/11, and 13 of them occurred in 2009.

“What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility.”

The examples of corruption, right from the beginning, in Obama’s year-old administration are more numerous than any other administration by this time than any other in history.  In complying with the often repeated pledge of responsibility, i.e., the transparency promised by Obama at least eight times on video and innumerable times elsewhere, has unfortunately not been complied with. C-SPAN CEO Brian Lamb recently accused President Obama not only of using his network as a "political football;" Lamb also said that he and his non-partisan network were extremely disappointed that the White House has not lived up to the commitment to air the very important debate on the health care proposals on C-SPAN.  "We are an independent journalistic institution…obviously would cover these negotiations.  It’s just a gut reaction that if we pay for something, and it’s the public’s business, we ought to be able to see how it’s done," he added.  Not a single person in the United States of America has been allowed to see or read what the health care proposal, which is now supposedly in conference, or reconciliation, or whatever; no one actually knows, or is allowed to know.  This is the case even thought Obama and his leftists are in the process of transforming one/sixth of our economy, in secret.  Yet another inglorious first of a kind for this President and his Congressional supporters; new era, indeed.

"Was there change?  Is there still hope?"

As President, Barack Hussein Obama has been devastatingly disappointing to the majority of his constituencies, and he has absolutely horrified the people who didn’t vote for him but who were willing to give the new president the benefit of the doubt. This is due either to his purposeful agenda to do as much as possible as quickly as possible to fundamentally transform, i.e., destroy the United States of America as it was constitutionally founded,  or to his and his peoples’ total amateurism and incompetence.

Either way, Obama has not only failed to live up to every single one of his promises to make things better in America, but he has also circumvented the rules that govern our nation, the Constitution of the United States of America, in innumerable ways, in attempting to take apart this nation, one that existed successfully 220 years before he assumed his reign..

The complete transformation of the America we know, love and want to maintain, into a bankrupt, neutered statist entity, is the one promise on which Obama is delivering.
