The National Shooting Sports Federation announced a new sponsor signing on for their ever-popular SHOT trade show, possibly the premiere event of the firearm industry.
NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation®, the trade association for the firearms industry, is pleased to announce that Unified Industry has signed as sponsor of the 2018 Executive Management Seminar and as a Bronze sponsor of the 2018 SHOT Show University. Both educational forums take place on Monday, Jan. 22, the day before the 2018 SHOT Show® opens.
Founded by company CEO Kyle Wilson, Unified Industry is a B2B marketplace empowering retailers, manufacturers and brands to directly communicate and conduct business.
“We’re very excited to have Unified Industry join us as a sponsor for our two premier SHOT Show educational venues,” said John McNamara, NSSF Senior Director, Retailer Services. “This is a tremendous commitment to the viability of our retailers and the health of our industry, and we think that everyone attending these events will appreciate this firm’s insights.”
“Unified is excited to sponsor both the SHOT Show University and Executive Management Seminar,” said Wilson. “Unified is the result of listening to both retailers and brands in our industry. Both sides expressed the need to directly communicate and conduct business. The Unified team consists of more than 70 years’ experience in our industry, and with the current business environment of our industry, the only way forward is together.”
SHOT Show University is NSSF’s dedicated learning experience for retailers and range owners, providing business owners of all experience levels ways to improve their businesses. The forum is comprised of four learning tracks: Range, Compliance, Retailer 101 (designed for more newly established FFLs) and the Master’s Class (created for more veteran firearms retailer owners). Attendees can participate in one complete track or select from sessions across any of the four to customize their experience. A wide variety of industry and business experts lead the various discussions, with topics that range from ATF inspection preparation and technology that drives customer engagement to NFA compliance, new media marketing techniques and how data collection and analysis can help small businesses thrive.
During the 2018 SHOT Show Executive Management Seminar, attendees will hear from top experts such as Steven Rinella, Lt. Col. Allen West, Dr. Tim Irwin, Dr. Jason Selk and Marsha Petrie Sue, who will discuss the hottest management techniques and business practices taking place today. Attendees will learn about trending topics, such as how to thrive in a changing market, cultivating leadership skills, workforce development, avoiding derailment and improving mental toughness, all aimed at improving skill sets and providing ways to hone business action plans. For most who follow SHOT Show news, this probably doesn’t mean much since United Industries is mostly something that would appeal to those on the retail end other than buying guns. However, it’s important to remember that the SHOT Show is a trade show, first and foremost. It’s for retailers, manufacturers, and those in the business of firearms.
Frankly, anything that improves the industry is ultimately a win for the Second Amendment community.
