Actress Ariel Winter Joining The Gun Culture?

Hollywood tends to have a rather complicated relationship with guns. While many actors make fortunes starring in movies where they’re slinging round down range at a rate that would make an A-10 jealous, in their everyday lives they argue that guns are dangerous and should be tightly regulated if allowed in private hands at all. This is even more hilarious since many of them own firearms themselves.

Yet most of those hypocrites tend to not advertise their use of firearms away from the set.

So where does actress Ariel Winter stand after posting this on her Instagram account a couple of days ago?

Entertainment Tonight noted that Winter also shared pictures of her certificate for completing California’s firearms safety course on her Snapchat account, as well as her practicing with various firearms. Of course, they also acted like she did something dangerous and unsafe by supposedly licking a magazine that was not in a weapon at the time, but what else do you expect from the media?

Since Winter, like most of Hollywood, supported Hillary Clinton’s campaign, this newfound love of firearms appears to have some people a little confused.

One person commented: “But as soon as a shooting happens, guns are evil right? Hypocrite.”

A second wrote: “Holding them, do you actually shot guns and believe in the Second Amendment? Just asking because I know that Hollywood does one thing and says another.”

While a third questioned: “Are you supporting gun violence?”

The first two are fair questions. The last is the result of an addled mind, so we’re going to ignore that one. Only an idiot would equate lawful gun ownership with gun violence.

It is entirely possible that Winter intends to continue supporting candidates who want destroy our Second Amendment rights, all while having the means and resources to continue to enjoy hers under such despotic regimes. Nothing would be overly surprising about that in the least, since, again, Hollywood.

However, she also got comments like:

“forget the haters!#2a!”

“Definitely need more strong female role models like you to promote and support shooting sports, Go girl!!!”

“Congrats, way to go by learning, and assuring to protect yourself!”

In other words, people are willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, which is great. This offered a wonderful opportunity to show how warm and welcoming the firearms community is.

It’s impossible to tell if Winter is a gun girl or not. Social media from celebrities tend to be a sanitized snapshot of whatever they want us to see. What we do know is that Winter went through the steps to lawfully purchase a pistol in the state of California, and she enjoyed the process enough to have fun with it (see comment about licking magazine not in a weapon).

Whether or not she’s part of the gun culture or not, she did us a favor. It’ll be just that much more difficult for the left to paint all gun owners as racist rednecks. After all, just because Winter is dressed a little bit like Daisy Duke on a cool day, it doesn’t make her a resident of Hazard County.
