Cryptocurrency Seeks To Bypass 'Activist Banks'

It’s bad enough when gun rights are under assault by activists, courts, and legislatures across the nation. Frankly, we’re used to it. It’s a battle we know how to fight and, as history has shown, it’s a fight we know how to win.

But now banks are doing everything they can to shut the firearm industry down, thereby completely bypassing the Second Amendment protections guaranteed to us by the Constitution. Frankly, there’s also little recourse available if a bank refuses to do business with manufacturers, which means no guns for us to buy.

However, an intriguing possibility has been presented as a way to completely bypass the banks entirely.

Salt Lake City, UT – October 9th, 2018 – Original Crypto Coin (OCC) announced today that they will be relaunching their ERC-20 token project on their own “gun friendly” blockchain called TUSC (The Universal Settlement Coin).

Rob McNealy, OCC’s Cofounder, said: “As gun owners, and ardent defenders of the right to self-defense, we know that the gun industry is constantly under attack.  We wanted to create a gun-centric crypto to act as a “continuity of business” payment system for gun retailers. Due to their decentralized nature, blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies simply can’t be shut down by “activist” banks.”

McNealy said: “We are in the dial-up modem stage of cryptocurrency, however, a recent poll showed that half of all millennials are interested in cryptocurrency, and up to 18% already own them. Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology are the future.”

Original Crypto Coin has recruited a new development team and many new advisors to oversee the transition to their new blockchain. More detailed announcements about the transition will be made over the next few months.

Now, I’m not going to pretend I understand cryptocurrency. However, it seems to be a thing and I can definitely see ways you can use cryptocurrencies for firearms. By using these kinds of funds, you minimize the need for any banking. You don’t have to worry about credit card processing or anything of the type.

However, it doesn’t completely solve the problem since manufacturers still need bank accounts to handle things like paying people who don’t take cryptocurrency. You know, people like landlords, power companies, phone companies, employees, folks like that. Further, it also doesn’t take into account that companies often need lines of credit to cover expanding operations.

In other words, I don’t see this completely replacing their need for banking, which means we’ll still need some gun-tolerant banks, but it does seem like a viable way to bypass the credit card processing aspect, which has been an issue as well.

It should be interesting to see if Original Crypto Coin gets many takers on this one.
