Sen. Raphael Warnock's Hypocrisy On Guns On Full Display

Sen. Raphael Warnock is a very devoted member of the gun control crowd. He’s made it clear that he thinks what this country really needs is gun control.

Needless to say, he’s loving President Joe Biden’s proposed executive orders and he probably agrees with Biden that legislative action is needed. That’s not surprising in the least.

Neither is the fact that he’s apparently a complete and total hypocrite.

See, while he’s supporting gun control measures that interfere with our right to keep and bear arms, he’s paid an insane sum for private security.

Georgia Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock has voiced his strong support for President Joe Biden’s calls for more gun control in recent weeks, though his campaign spent in excess of $100,000 on “security services” from a private firm as recently as February, according to reports Friday.

Federal Election Commission filings released this week indicate that Warnock’s campaign paid out $60,956 to Executive Protection Agencies, an Atlanta-based private security firm, during a time frame spanning January and early February.

In addition, his campaign laid out $76,000 in private protection services last fall, according to FEC records.

The vast majority of Americans can’t afford such a luxury, but that hasn’t stopped Warnock from calling for stricter gun laws that would make it more difficult, especially for poorer Americans, to obtain firearms for self-defense.

According to the company’s website, the firm provides executive-level protection that features a “keen eye with a thorough knowledge of the venue through threat assessment” for all clients. In all, Fox News reported Warnock’s campaign laid out $169,000 for protective services since last fall, and that no one from the campaign responded to requests for comment.

So, in other words, Warnock doesn’t have a problem with guns. He has a problem with you having a gun.

See, guns are fine for those who can afford to hire professional security, but those of us who can’t outsource our personal protection? Let us eat cake, right?

“But professional security aren’t criminals!” some might argue, and they’re likely right.

However, I’m not a criminal either. Why should my Second Amendment rights be infringed upon simply because I’m not wealthy enough to hire private armed security?

For Warnock to back gun control while knowing good and well he paid that much for private security–in other words, he put out money to be protected by guns–is the height of hypocrisy. What’s more, the media will likely shield him from the ramifications of this by simply pretending it doesn’t matter.

Well, it does. We’re law-abiding citizens, for crying out loud. We have a right to keep and bear arms, and it’s bad enough when someone tries to infringe upon that right, but it’s even worse when it turns out they don’t really have an issue with guns, but we the peasants having them. It really tells you all you need to know about the reverent and senator from Georgia, doesn’t it?

If there’s an upside, it’s that he’s filling an incomplete term. He’ll be up for reelection in 2022, so maybe we won’t have to worry about him in office for long.
