Fox News’ Tucker Carlson may well be the biggest name on the right just now. His show is watched by people on all sides of the aisle, though the left mostly watches just to take issue with the things he said.

To be fair, I don’t always agree with Carlson myself. Sometimes, he says some things that I think go a little off the rails.

This ain’t one of them.

Monday on FNC’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” host Tucker Carlson pointed out the contradiction from the pro-gun control Biden administration, which in its withdrawal from Afghanistan left behind nearly $90 billion in military equipment and by doing so, armed the Taliban.

Carlson insisted the Biden administration should disarm the Taliban before tried to disarm its own people.

Well, he wasn’t wrong.

See, the problem for a lot of people is that while Biden is telling us we shouldn’t be allowed to have AR-15s, a weapon that’s used in a staggeringly low number of crimes annually, his botched withdrawal has handed over an untold number of full-auto capable firearms over to the Taliban.

In case you forgot, the Taliban isn’t exactly an Islamic Rotary Club. These are the guys who gave shelter to Osama bin Laden in the aftermath of 9/11. They believe women should be covered from head to toe and should never be allowed out of their homes without a male relative accompanying them.

They’re not nice people.

Yet they have weapons from the United States military while the president is working to strip us of certain weapons just because they look similar. For a lot of people, it seems kind of hypocritical of Biden.

I’m one of those people.

The withdrawal from Afghanistan was carried out ass-backward. Now, Americans are stranded as all our troops are now out of the country. They’re stuck there. This is the same Taliban that disarmed civilians, saying they didn’t need guns anymore. That would be the same Taliban that has already executed people and seems to be executing more.

And we basically gave them a pile of guns.

Just freaking brilliant.

So yeah, I agree with Tucker. President Joe Biden needs to stop talking about gun control after he effectively armed some of the worst people in the universe. If he wants my guns, he needs to take them from the Taliban first. Not that he will, of course. The Taliban isn’t about to give them up, especially after they’re claiming victory over the United States.

And since we spent untold blood and treasure over 20 years to replace the Taliban with the Taliban, they’re justified in doing so.

And thanks to Biden’s piss-poor planning, we (or more accurately, the Afghan army that Biden insisted would stand and fight with our support) just handed them guns.

Honestly, I don’t think I’m ever going to get past that fact. Especially as the administration has pushed such an anti-Second Amendment agenda. Then again, I don’t think I should get past that fact. It needs to be remembered and burned into our collective psyche as we face the 2024 elections.

Biden doesn’t want you to have guns, but his mistakes have armed the Taliban, and I don’t hear him demanding that they turn over their new gear. It kind of tells us what he thinks of us, doesn’t it?
