Falco Holsters Reveals Three New Models

FALCO Holsters

A while back, I wrote about a gun that survived a truck fire that messed up the driver. The holster protected the firearm well enough that it was operational after everything was said and done. That holster was made by FALCO Holsters. It was a high-quality leather, which actually does have some solid fire-protection capabilities.

The truth is that our guns matter to us, and not only should we use a holster--some states require it--but we owe it to ourselves to use a good one. One that protects a gun from an explosion and raging inferno sounds like a hell of an option.

And FALCO is announcing three new products for those of you who like to pocket carry.

From their press release:

FALCO® Holsters expands its concealed carry holster lineup with the launch of three new pocket holsters designed to accommodate different concealed carry preferences through carrier-centered designs and material choices. The new series includes a leather wallet holster, a Kydex pocket holster, and a carbon fiber pocket holster. Each model prioritizes minimalism and reliable performance to support carriers in everyday use.

A226 - Leather Wallet Pocket Holster

The A226 is a leather wallet-style pocket holster developed to closely resemble the outline of a traditional wallet, making it ideal for discreet pocket carry. The handgun can be drawn directly inside the pocket with a simple thumb push against the reinforced leather backer, while the holster remains in place. The backer is constructed from two layers of Italian leather to provide rigidity and prevent flexing.

The A226 is handmade from full-grain Italian leather, known for its long-lasting durability, comfort, and refined appearance, and is custom-made to fit over 3,600 handgun models.

A913 Kydex Pocket Holster

The A913 is a Kydex pocket holster designed for secure, consistent, and adaptable concealed carry. It features adjustable retention, controlled by a retention screw positioned next to the trigger guard, allowing users to fine-tune draw resistance to their preference.

The holster supports three draw methods:

 Thumb Push Draw, using the exposed Kydex edge inside the pocket

 C-Shaped Hook Draw, where the hook catches on the pocket edge during the draw

 Paracord-Assisted Draw, ideal for bag or purse carry, using a metal eyelet to anchor the holster

The A913 holster is handmade from genuine U.S.-made Kydex and precisely molded to the carrier’s handgun of choice, reflecting FALCO Holsters’ industry-leading compatibility with a wide range of handgun models.

AX93 Carbon Fiber Pocket Holster

The AX93 represents the most advanced material option in the new pocket holster lineup. Built entirely from genuine carbon fiber, it offers an ultra-thin and lightweight profile with exceptional rigidity. Carbon fiber provides steel-like strength at a fraction of the weight, making this pocket holster highly resistant to moisture, deformation, and wear.

The holster features adjustable retention near the trigger guard and supports thumb push draw, c-shaped hook draw, and paracord-assisted draw just like the A913.

The AX93 leverages a material commonly used in aviation, aerospace, and high-performance racing to deliver a pocket holster that is significantly more durable than Kydex, while maintaining minimal bulk for everyday pocket carry.

“Pocket carry demands absolute reliability in the smallest possible form,” said Robert Kovac, CEO of FALCO Holsters. “With these new pocket holsters, we focused on reducing bulk, while maintaining safety, consistency of draw, and material longevity. Each holster represents a different philosophy of pocket carry with the same standard of craftsmanship our customers expect from FALCO.”

Now, at this point, we only know anything about the products themselves from the press release above. However, I plan on getting my grubby little paws on the leather and kydex versions for testing purposes. I don't plan on putting my Glock in a fire, mind you, and I know the kydex isn't going to protect a gun from that kind of heat, but I want to see how they carry, how easy they are to use, all the things that you want to know about a holster before you buy one.

We know the leather is probably going to be good quality, of course, but I'm interested to see what else we can see on these.

Yes, I'm skipping carbon fiber. That's stuff's expensive, and while FALCO is graciously sending me the two holsters in question at no charge for testing purposes--which will not influence what I say about them, it should be noted--the AX93 is over $300. That's a bit too much generosity to ask for.

I don't pocket carry much, but I do have the odd occasion when that would actually be a lot simpler, and I happen to have pockets that can conceal a Glock 19 in a holster, so this should be interesting.

If you need a pocket holster, these are a good place to start looking. As you can imagine, I can't speak for them one way or the other as of right now, but let's be real, you're only going to take my comments seriously up to a certain point. Sooner or later, you'll need to fondle one of these yourself.

Believe me, not only do I get it, but my box of discarded holsters also gets it.
