American Heroes of 9/11: Betty Ong

Betty Ong picked up an Airfone from the back of a hijacked plane, and she stayed on it until the moment it crashed. She was a flight attendant on American Airlines Flight 11, the first plane to hit the World Trade Center. The line went dead at 8:46, when Flight 11 hit the North Tower. Betty Ong is an American hero.
