A video has emerged that purports to show Tyrone Harris flashing a gun in a protest of Michael Brown’s death last year. Harris was shot after opening fire on Ferguson police officers Sunday night, and was critically injured by police in the exchange of gunfire.

Surveillance video from Sunday night shows the moment Harris drew his gun before opening fire on police, but the new video above strongly suggests that Harris had been plotting to engage police for much longer, as he flashed the gun in his waistband in this 2014 video and proclaimed “we’re ready.”

UPDATE: The video was from one of the 2014 protests of Darren Wilson’s justified self-defense shooting of Michael Brown, not from earlier in the day this past Sunday before he opened fire on police. I’ve updated the story to reflect that error.
