A Brunswick homeowner heard his doorbell ring around 11 p.m. Saturday night. He didn’t see anyone at the door, so he ignored it. When the doorbell rang a second time, the homeowner grabbed his handgun just to be safe before he answered the door. A masked man lunged at the homeowner with a knife, who then fired multiple shots with his .45-caliber handgun.

The homeowner called 911, who responded immediately to find Anthony Don Devine on the homeowner’s front porch with multiple gun wounds in his back and buttocks.
