On Sunday, the “Open Carry Pennsylvania” rally garnered a lot of attention when protesters arrived with their firearms. In Erie county, it is illegal to carry a gun at a city park where this rally was held. While rally organizers and featured speakers were giving their speeches, Erie police came and issued citations to those who brought guns. They went so far as to take down the license plate numbers of the attendees and cross reference the owners using facial recognition so they can mail citations to the people that they missed.
