TheYankeeMarshal opines on what he thinks that the new U.S. military sidearm should be, suggests that the military should go with a polymer-framed firearm, and offers up two possible contenders, one in 9mm, and one in .45 ACP.

He’s cites the fact that 9mm ammo is better than it was when the 9mm Beretta M9 was adopted in 1985, but seems to forget that the military is still (largely) restricted to FMJ bullets, and can’t use the new 9mm JHP designs.
