Creating The "Perfect Concealed Carry Gun"

It’s been a while since we’ve visited with The Yankee Marshal, and so we missed the quest he began in January to create what he considers to be the “perfect carry gun.”

I don’t think it comes as a surprise that TYM wanted to modify a stock handgun for concealed carry, or that he chose to go with a 9mm semi-automatic.

What may surprise many people is which 9mm he decided to use, which was the Beretta 92FS (M9A1) Compact Inox, the stainless steel variant of the cut-down 92/M9.

He first ran through the modifications he was thinking about having Wilson Combat make to the gun, and then asked viewers if there were other modifications that he should consider.

He then did a follow-up video where he ran through the list of finalized changes he was making before he shipped the gun off to Wilson Combat.

That was in January.

He just got the pistol back after a roughly four-month turn-around. Was it worth it?

Here’s the un-boxing video.

He certainly seems to be thrilled with the mods, and the viewer response was tremendous. He had such a large response, in fact, that he had to post a follow-up to answer reader questions about his new and “perfect” concealed carry gun.

Do the mods make sense to you, and has he created what you might consider the “perfect” carry gun? If not, what would you change?
