The scene is still active and NYPD officials are not releasing very many details, other than the fact that multiple people have been shot.

UPDATE: 3:45 p.m. EST
The New York Times is reporting that three doctors were shot and five to six were wounded. The condition of the doctors is unknown at this time.
The gunman is described as a tall, thin man wearing a blue shirt and a white lab coat.
The NYT anonymous law enforcement source said the shooter is not yet in custody but it’s appearing that it was a hospital employee.
UPDATE: 4:15 p.m. EST
The gunman is a former employee of the hospital and is confirmed to be dead.

UPDATE: The shooter is deceased. Several others are injured regarding the shooting at Bronx Lebanon Hospital.

CNN is reporting a woman’s body was found next to the gunman’s body.
There are a total of five other victims, not including the woman. All five remain in critical condition at this time.
