When I wrote the AR-15 “must haves” post I kept it simple for a very good reason; all the bells and whistles aren’t going to make you a better shooter, and you’re better off keeping things very simple and working on shooting fundamentals.
Once you’ve mastered those skills, it might be worthwhile to start thing about upgrading your tools.
What I like the most about the BCM-built Haley Strategic Jack Carbine is that they put their money into making it rugged and reliable with clean lines and no extraneous stuff you don’t need. It’s not an entry-level rifle for casual shooters at $2,100, but it is a very well made tool by one of the best AR-builders in the world.
What’s not to like?
