But you don't need guns in bars...

The first rule of winning a gunfight is having a gun, and realizing that gunfights can happen almost anywhere, at any time. As a result, many states are relaxing prohibitions on where firearms may be carried in self defense, including in restaurants and bars, like this one in Port Arthur, Texas:

…The first occurred Sunday, Jan. 5, in front of Speak Easy Lounge, 711 Procter St. The victim, Marcus Antonio Elmore, 32, died from a gunshot wound.

Police believe the shooting was in self defense.

Multiple witnesses on scene told police that Elmore was shot after pointing a handgun at a patron outside of the bar and the patron lawfully defended himself, according to a story that ran in the Jan. 7 edition of the Port Arthur News.
