Say… that looks familiar!

Glen Wunderlich, outdoor writer and fellow POMA member, got the rundown on the features of the Bergara BCR 20 Heavy Tactical rifle that the media had an opportunity to fire during the Professional Outdoor Media Association “range day” several weeks ago near Knoxville, TN.

This heavyweight’s thick barrel minimized POA/POI shift even as the barrel heats up. Several dozen rounds had already been fired through it by the time I was able to shoot it (above), but my first shot still went exactly where the scope was zeroed, and my second shot hit the same hole at 100 yards. I pulled the 3rd shot and ruined what would have been a beautiful .25 MOA group, but that was entirely my fault.

I’m quite impressed with what Bergara brought to the table, and I’ll be spending some quality time with the Bergara Long Range Hunter in the near future.
