Concealed Carrier Kills Armed Robber in Oklahoma City

There’s not a lot of detail on this story, but we know enough to know that a good guy with a gun prevailed over a criminal.

An armed robber in Oklahoma City picked the wrong person to rob, and is now assuming room temperature.

Authorities responded to the report of a homicide at N.W. 63rd Street and Santa Fe Avenue Friday around 8 p.m.

Authorities said the victim was actually the suspect in this case. A man was leaving a store and getting into his car when another man attempted to rob him. Police said the man has a conceal and carry permit and shot the robber, fatally.

The shooter is still on scene cooperating with investigators. At this time, police have not made any arrests.

While it is always incredibly risky to pull a gun on an armed robber, in many instances the robbers tend to assume that their victims are going to comply. In those instances, a concealed carrier who access his weapon quickly can indeed sometimes prevail, as we saw here.
