Travis Haley and Jim Fuller took one of Rifle Dynamics’s new 7.62 AK DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle) Project rifles to the 1,000 yard range at the Ben Avery Complex in Arizona to stretch the new project gun’s range.
600-800 yard hits with a 3x scope and 7.62×39 ammunition? Yes, it is possible.
It’s stunning what Rifle Dynamics can accomplish with the 7.62×39. I suspect that when they start changing calibers—perhaps to the 6.5 Grendel—then we’ll see an AK of consistent 1,00 yard hits.
