Mattel "Tommy Burst" toy gun set (1960s TV commercial)

A cockable, selective-fire Thompson submachine gun and a shiny revolver cap gun… what fun!

This particular set is before my time, but they had similar toy guns when I was growing up. All the boys (and some of the girls) had them before we graduated to BB guns. Of course, this commercial is from the 1960s, and my childhood was in the 1970s and early 1980s, so the toy guns looked a little different, even if we played with them pretty much the same way.

My, how times have changed.
