Carolyn "shoulder thing that goes up" McCarthy to retire

Carolyn McCarthy is retiring:

“I have decided not to seek re-election to the United States Congress in 2014,” McCarthy said in a statement.  “I am forever grateful to my constituents for giving me the privilege of representing them in Congress for the past 18 years.  As I plan for the next chapter of my life, I look forward to resuming my role as a citizen activist for the causes and principles that are so close to my heart.”

McCarthy spent nine terms in office as a Congresswoman from New York, attempting to strip away the gun rights of all Americans. McCathy’s hatred of guns came after her husband was killed and her son was wounded by Jamaican racist Colin Ferguson in what became known as the Long Island Railway Massacre.

Despite all her years in office attempting to destroy the Second Amendment, McCarthy somehow miraculously maintained a near complete level of ignorance of firearms, and will always be best known not for what she did, but for all she didn’t know.

Part of 70-year-old McCarthy’s reason for retirement is to focus on her battle with lung cancer. Bearing Arms wishes her a thorough, full, and speedy recovery.
