Judicial Watch Forces Release Of Photos Of Gang Attack With Fast & Furious Rifle

They should refer to the WASR 10s recovered at crime scenes along both sides of the border as “Obama Specials.”

This 7.62×39 WASR AKM “Obama Special” used in a 2013 gang attack in Phoenix, AZ, is one of thousands of weapons provided to narco-terrorists in one of the Obama Department of Justice’s gun smuggling operations.

Cheaply-made and relatively inexpensive Romanian WASR 10s were the “gun of choice” for straw purchasers that supplied the Sinaloa drug cartel with thousands of weapons, all under the watchful eye of Eric Holder’s Department of Justice.

Judicial Watch sued under public records laws this past October, forcing the release of crime photos from a 2013 gangland attack that proves the guns the Obama Administration provided to Mexican drug cartels are being used to kill and wound people on American soil.

Judicial Watch announced today that it has obtained graphic crime scene photos taken at the site of a 2013 gang-style assault on a Phoenix, AZ, apartment building, including a close-up photo revealing the serial number of the AK-47 rifle used by the assailants.  As a result of Judicial Watch’s October 2, 2014, public records lawsuit, the weapon has been already traced to the Obama Department of Justice (DOJ) Operation Fast and Furious gunrunning program.  The photos were also produced by the Phoenix Police Department in response to this lawsuit (Judicial Watch v. City of Phoenix (No. CV2014- 012018)).

According to press reports at the time of the assault, police investigating the shooting that left two wounded found an AK-47 assault rifle in the front passenger area of a vehicle that had crashed into a fence surrounding the apartment complex. Inside sources informed Judicial Watch at the time of the crime scene investigation that the AK-47 used in the assault had been provided to the assailants as part of the Obama-Holder Fast and Furious program. On October 16, 2014, Judicial Watch announced that, based upon information uncovered through its October 2 public records lawsuit, the U.S. Congress had confirmed that the rifle was tied to the Fast and Furious operation.  Attorney General Eric Holder has already admitted that guns from the Fast and Furious scandal are expected to be used in criminal activity on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border for years to come.

The serial number on this “Obama Special” WASR 10 ties it conclusively to the Obama Administration’s bloody gun-running program, which has claims more than 300 lives in the United States and Mexico.

The U.S. mainstream media has made every effort to ignore Fast and Furious, along with an estimated nine other gun walking programs in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Texas, and Florida that shipped an estimated 20,000 firearms—enough to arm an entire army division—to numerous drug cartels.

A similar and even more stunning gun-walking plot that seemed intentionally designed to arm gangs in Chicago, driving up the Windy City’s body count during it’s most violent years, is also linked to the Obama Department of Justice… and is even more deeply buried by the mainstream media.

The ultimate goal of all ten gun-walking schemes appears to be identical: directly supply narco-terrorists along border states and in the heartland with as many weapons as they desired, in order to increase gang violence. The ensuing violence would spur calls for bans on the semi-automatic rifles and pistols that made up nearly 100% of the weapons provided to these violent criminals. This was part and parcel of Obama’s infamous “90-percent lie.”

Judicial Watch forced the Department of Justice to release more than 10,000 documents that were related to the cover-up of Operation Fast and Furious in November.

To date, not one Administration official, on any level, has been fired or criminally charged with these gun-walking plots, which have provided the weapons that have been used to murder well over 300 people so far.
