He’s not wrong.

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump threw a new claim Hillary Clinton‘s way at a Saturday rally, telling the crowd that the Democratic front-runner wants to do away with the Second Amendment.

“Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Second Amendment. She wants to abolish it,” Trump said at a Saturday rally in Lynden, Wash. “Hillary Clinton wants to take your guns away, and she wants to abolish the Second Amendment. She wants to take the bullets away.

Clinton seems to be of the opinion that she understands the Second Amendment better than the Founding Fathers or the U.S. Supreme Court, as revealed last October.

Hillary Clinton slammed the Supreme Court as “wrong on the Second Amendment” and called for reinstating the assault weapons ban during a small private fundraiser in New York last week, according to audio of her remarks obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

While Clinton has previously supported an assault weapons ban, this is the first time since launching her campaign that she indicated that she would take on the Supreme Court over gun issues.

Although Clinton did not identify which Supreme Court case she disagreed with, she appeared to be criticizing the landmark 2008 ruling in District of Columbia v. Heller, which found the handgun ban in Washington, D.C., unconstitutional.

“I was proud when my husband took [the National Rifle Association] on, and we were able to ban assault weapons, but he had to put a sunset on so 10 years later. Of course [President George W.] Bush wouldn’t agree to reinstate them,” said Clinton.

“We’ve got to go after this,” Clinton continued. “And here again, the Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment. And I am going to make that case every chance I get.”

Clinton clearly has the discreted collectivist view that the Second Amendment was to apply to a national militia only, and that the right to bear arms was never meant to apply to the people.

It is very clear that if she wins the Presidency, Hillary Clinton intends to wage war against the Second Amendment, the firearms industry, and the liberty of the American people itself. She appears to be be part of the radical leftist belief system which holds the right to bear arms as an impediment to asserting more federal government power over the core rights of American citizens to be free.

As a constitutional matter, no President (including Clinton) has the authority to simply abolish the parts of the Constitution they do not like, but Clinton has telegraphed her intentions to use and abuse Executive Branch authority to impose her authoritarian vision on the American people in general, and on the firearms industry in particular. Her opposition to the Protection of Lawful Commerce In Arms Act (PLCAA) is rooted in her desire to open the floodgates of frivolous lawsuits against firearms retailers and manufacturers, so that they can be bankrupted and driven out of business.

Hillary Clinton is very clearly running her 2016 campaign as that of the nation’s first anti-Constitutional candidate.

The American people have every right to be terrified of what she would do if elected.
