George Zimmerman Auctions Gun Used To Shoot Trayvon Martin

Update: Gunbroker removed the auction from their site shortly before it was scheduled to begin.

George Zimmerman, the Florida neighborhood watch volunteer attacked by a drug-abusing illegal gun trafficker named Trayvon Martin, is auctioning off the Kel-Tec PF9 9mm pistol that he used the night of February 26, 2012, to shoot Martin and defend his life.

The handgun, returned to Zimmerman after the trial and a failed attempt by the U.S. Justice Department to trump up federal charges, is going up for auction today at 11:00 AM ET on the firearms and accessories auction site Gunbroker in a one-day-only auction, with a starting reserve of $5,000.

Kel-Tec PF9s are compact, polymer-framed 9mm pistols with a double-action-only (DAO) trigger and seven-shot steel factory magazines, typically purchased by people on a tight budget. The MSRP for the model is $356.36, and they’re often sold for around $250.

In the item description, Zimmerman justifies the $5,000 starting bid by pointing out that the handgun’s pivotal role in both saving his life and serving as a key piece of evidence in a very famous and controversial trial.

Prospective bidders, I am honored and humbled to announce the sale of an American Firearm Icon. The firearm for sale is the firearm that was used to defend my life and end the brutal attack from Trayvon Martin on 2/26/2012. The gun is a Kel-Tec PF-9 9mm. It has recently been returned to me by the Department of Justice. The pistol currently has the case number written on it in silver permanent marker. Many have expressed interest in owning and displaying the firearm including The Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. This is a piece of American History. It has been featured in several publications and in current University text books. Offers to purchase the Firearm have been received; however, the offers were to use the gun in a fashion I did not feel comfortable with. The firearm is fully functional as the attempts by the Department of Justice on behalf of B. Hussein Obama to render the firearm inoperable were thwarted by my phenomenal Defense Attorney. I recognize the purchaser’s ownership and right to do with the firearm as they wish. The purchaser is guaranteed validity and authenticity of the firearm. On this day, 5/11/2016 exactly one year after the shooting attempt to end my life by BLM sympathizer Matthew Apperson I am proud to announce that a portion of the proceeds will be used to: fight BLM violence against Law Enforcement officers, ensure the demise of Angela Correy’s persecution career and Hillary Clinton’s anti-firearm rhetoric. Now is your opportunity to own a piece of American History. Good Luck. Your friend, George M. Zimmerman ~Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum~

It’s hardly surprising that Zimmerman wants to use some of the proceeds of the auction to go after the Black Lives Matter activists and politically-compromised prosecutors who grossly misrepresented Martin’s drug-fueled attack on Zimmerman. They cast him in the role of a villain stalking an innocent boy carrying snacks home from a store, instead of a concerned citizen in a crime-ridden neighborhood attempting to keep an eye on a suspicious person for responding police officers.

In reality, Martin was a multiple drug-abusing street fighter with a bad temper and a joy of hurting others as evidenced by his own semi-literate texts. He was a suspected thief kicked out of his high school, and according images and texts recovered from his own phone, an illegal gun trafficker with a taste for pot and a street drug called “lean” known to trigger psychotic breaks… hardly the cherubic boy the biased media and prosecutors made him out to be.

When approached for comment on the impending auction, the Martin family attorney released the following statement:

“The Trayvon Martin Foundation is committed to its mission of ending senseless gun violence in the United States. This election season, we are laser focused on furthering that mission. As such, the foundation has no comment on the actions of that person.”

It is not known if “ending senseless gun violence” will include the Martin family raising money by auctioning off any of the various illegally-acquired handguns Martin was attempting to sell shortly before his death, including The Smith & Wesson Sigma semi-automatic shown in the image below.
