BREAKING: Possible Mass Shooting At San Bernardino Elementary School

Developing.

Multiple police agencies are responding to a reported shooting at North Park Elementary School.

“We have a shooter down and three victims,” said Maria Garcia, a spokeswoman for San Bernardino City Unified. “One of them is a teacher, the other two are unknown, and their condition is unknown. We believe the situation is contained.”

Police agencies were in the process of clearing classrooms, according to radio traffic at 10:50 a.m.

Update: The shooting appears to be a murder-suicide in which the suspect attacked and killed a teacher in a classroom, and then committed suicide. It is not yet known if the students were targeted, or if their injuries were even gunshot wounds. Both students have been transported to area hospitals. Scanner traffic suggests one student has a head wound, and the other has a chest wound, but is talking.

It will be very interesting to see what safety protocols the school had in place, and if they did, how the suspect defeated those protocols.
