It’s another episode of Bearing Arms’ Cam & Co. where you’re keeping me company, and you’ve got a lot on your mind this week!
A number of you sent in comments or suggestions about what to do with Facebook/Instagram’s new ban on “branded content” involving firearms, the most common of which was “build an alternative.” Of course it’s not just gun owners who would love to be able to challenge Facebook’s domination in the marketplace, and there are plenty of alternatives out there. The problem is that none of them have anywhere near the reach that Facebook does, which makes it less attractive in terms of advertising and marketing. Companies want their messaging and products to be in front of eyeballs, not cobwebs. As I said, it really is a tough issue without an easy solution.
We also talk more about the Second Amendment Sanctuary movement in Virginia, including Tazewell County’s “ordering the militia” resolution that’s been getting a lot of discussion online.
I mentioned this at the top of the show but I’ll put it in writing as well: there will be no new Bearing Arms’ Cam & Co. until December 30th, but there will be fresh content posted here at Bearing Arms all next week! Thanks as always for watching, listening, and spreading the word!
