I’ve been editor at Bearing Arms for two weeks now, and I feel like I’m starting to get a handle on things. That means it’s time to add in a new component to what I’ll be doing here at BA, and to get back to doing what has been my passion for well over a decade now: a daily show focusing on the latest 2A news and information from around the country. Armed citizen stories, the latest on legislation, litigation, and regulations that impact our 2nd Amendment rights, interviews with newsmakers and experts, trips to the range, and maybe even a baby goat or two every now and then. Coming to you from Farmville, Virginia, here’s the very first episode of Bearing Arms’ Cam & Co.
In today’s program, we take a look at how some 2020 presidential candidates seized on the attack in Gilroy, CA to push for vague and unnamed “gun reform” laws. I also sit down with National Review’s Jim Geraghty to talk about gun control and the 2020 elections more broadly, including Cory Booker’s call for national gun licensing. Finally, we’ll take a look at an armed citizen story from Washington State, a Louisville plea bargain that’s led to a 19-year old being arrested for murder when he should have been behind bars, and a correctional officer in the right time and right place who was willing and able to do the right thing and save the life of a stranger.
