How many times do we have to tell people that hell hath no fury like mama grizzly bears protecting their cubs? One Indianapolis mother showed an armed intruder she was ready, willing and able to fight fire with gunfire to protect her offspring.
Home alone with her newborn, the woman heard an intruder enter her home this afternoon through a window. Arming herself with her pistol to protect herself and her infant, she went to investigate. That’s when she came face to face with an armed intruder in her home.
The homeowner and new mother exchanged gunfire with the man, hitting him several times. Officers received a call around 12:10 p.m. from the home reporting the incident and asking for assistance.
The man has been taken to a local hospital with several gunshot wounds and while understandably shaken, the homeowner and her infant were unharmed.
Authorities have confirmed the intruder was carrying zip ties and a walkie-talkie on him when taken from the scene.
