Johnson said they found Sneed lying in the driveway suffering from one gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene.

Johnson says it appears the homeowner shot Sneed during an alleged attempted burglary.

He says the unidentified homeowner stated that she heard a noise shorty after 4 a.m. and went outside and saw a strange vehicle in her driveway.

She stated that she saw Sneed inside a vehicle that belonged to her friend. She then yelled at Sneed. She says he then looked up and made a gesture.

She then fired one shot, killing him.

A unidentified female that was with Sneed was taken into custody. Charges are pending.

While the case is still under investigation, investigators are reviewing home surveillance video taken at the scene. The case will be sent to the Lee County Grand Jury to determine if any charges will be filed against the homeowner.
