Revealing Gun Control Legislation Takes aim at Youth Shooting Sports

On Tuesday, July 12, 2016, two Democratic legislators introduced another gun control bill – this time, to effectively end all youth shooting sports and hunting programs in the United States.

Think that’s bad? Wait ’till you read how it’s worded.

Senator Edward J. Markey and Congressman Ruben Gallego introduced new legislation that claims will “ensure that powerful, military-style weapons don’t end up in the hands of children”.

The Help End Assault Rifle Tragedies (HEART) Act of 2016 as announced by Markey and Gallego claims to protect children by prohibiting anyone under the age of 16 from possessing or firing machine guns and assault weapons, specifying that the law would extend to gun shows and shooting ranges.

However, the bill clearly aims to shut down all youth shooting sports and young hunters’ ability to participate in any activity that uses guns.

The HEART Act is a bill which would “prohibit the transfer, loan, or other disposition of a machinegun or semiautomatic assault weapon to an individual under 16 years of age”

Semiautomatic assault weapon? Like a hunting rifle or shotgun for skeet shooting?

“The small hands of children and big power of machine guns are a deadly combination,” said Senator Markey. “The HEART Act is simple and straightforward: It prohibits the transfer of a machine gun or semiautomatic weapon to anyone under the age of 16.  Not at a gun range, not at a gun show, not while hunting, not anywhere, anytime. Assault weapons are weapons of war and should not be allowed in the hands of children. I thank Rep. Gallego for his partnership on the HEART Act and look forward to working with my colleagues to pass this important bill.”

Read Markey’s comment again and you’ll see the sinister truth about those pushing the gun control agenda: this bill deceitfully equates semiautomatic weapons with automatic weapons – assault rifles that are not even available to the average American, much less child under the age of 16.

In one sweeping motion, these legislators are not only aiming to permanently end all youth shooting sports, but also to convince our already brain-washed country that all guns are ‘weapons of war’.

We the people have the right to keep and bear arms and as parents, WE decide if and when to introduce our children to the time-honored tradition of shooting sports, NOT the government.

Are you going to stand for this?
