Dana Loesch Rips McAuliffe For Gun Control Rhetoric After Shooting

Dana Loesch joined Stuart Varney on the Fox Business program Varney & Co. this afternoon to discuss the shooting of Representative Steve Scalise (R-La.) and put Virginia Governor Terry McAulliffe in his place for his ignorant, blatantly false statement following the incident.

In a press conference earlier today, McAuliffe used his time at the podium to state, “We need to do more to protect all of our citizens. I have long advocated, this is not what today is about, but there are too many guns on the street.” Virginia’s Governor then claimed, “We lose 93 million Americans a day to gun violence,” and boasting that he has long talked about  “background checks, shutting down gun show loopholes, you know that’s not for today’s discussion.”

Virginia’s Governor then claimed, “We lose 93 million Americans a day to gun violence,” and boasted that he has long talked about  “background checks, shutting down gun show loopholes, you know that’s not for today’s discussion.”

“The gun show loophole is a made up term,” Loesch told Varney. “There is no loophole: it’s a criminal act or it isn’t. ‘Loophole’ excuses the criminality of the perpetrator. Call it what it is, it’s a criminal act and there is no such thing as a loophole.”

Loesch went on to state, “This isn’t a gun issue. The good guys saved the day [with guns].”
