Police responded to the report of an armed robbery in progress. When arriving at the scene police learned the suspect fled onto the No 10 Maryland Transit Administration bus.

When an officer stopped the bus near Logan Village Shopping Center the suspect opened fire on police.

Police said four officers returned fire and Erb was killed. One officer and a bystander were wounded.

The suspect was found in possession of two .40-caliber handguns as well as spare magazines and ammunition. The suspect has a lengthy criminal history and is prohibited from possessing firearms.

Wait, a criminal didn’t follow gun laws?! Shocker.
