Oregon has a big decision to make. The pages of Bearing Arms have covered the ballot measure that citizens of the Beaver State will vote on this upcoming November 8th. Ballot Measure 114 will all but completely destroy the Second Amendment, and support versus opposition sits at a razor thin margin currently. The Oregon Firearms Federation has some advice and information about casting your ballot in the upcoming election.

The last day to vote is almost here. Your ballot must be returned by Tuesday.

Currently Ballot Measure 114, which will cripple the Second Amendment, destroy small businesses, expose and endanger the most vulnerable Oregonians and turn countless law abiding Oregonians into criminals, is polling almost dead even.

In a state where most of the media has joined forces with the frauds who are promoting this dangerous and unconstitutional attack on liberty and common sense, that alone is amazing.

But what it means is that every single vote is going to matter. Every single one.

This demented policy could pass or fail on fewer votes than virtually any other in memory.

The destructive policies of the left have Oregon literally disintegrating before our eyes. Crime is skyrocketing, people are in danger and if this twisted measure passes it will be a clear message to the thugs that they are not only getting a free pass from the “justice system” but that no one will have the means to protect themselves from the surging violence.

That margin is fairly apolitical as well. Cam and I both have covered the fact that there are progressives and people left of center against this measure, in addition to the traditional so-called “gun people”.

The Oregon Firearms Federation did send out an ominous warning to voters who want to make sure their vote is counted.

Please be sure your ballot is turned in before the end of the day Tuesday. We strongly recommend that you DO NOT rely on the post office. If you can, bring your ballot to your county clerk. Be sure your friends and family have voted and encourage them to safeguard their ballots as well. Drop boxes are the second best option but the US Mail simply cannot be trusted with your ballot.

Oregon is sliding into chaos. Your vote can help slow the destruction. Please be sure your vote will count.

This is the Bearing Arms site, not the Bearing Ballots, but I think echoing the sentiments of the Federation is worthy in this case. Truth be told, first hand accounts of election tampering in my good ole state of New Jersey have been relayed to me personally, and it was through the US Mail that said meddling happened. The event in question was over two decades ago, but I have not seen much improvements in the way the US Postal system functions since Clinton was at the Resolute Desk. Regardless, being extra prudent in handling your ballot or casting your vote won’t hurt things.

This election is a big one, with a lot on the line. We’ll be watching the results of how Ballot Measure 114 fares in Oregon, as well as what kind of circus we can expect in the next session of Congress.
