The Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation has been educating young people on the safe and proper handling of firearms for years. Without the generous support of industry members, Kids S.A.F.E. would not be able to function. Volquartsen Firearms has committed to the organization as a silver sponsor. Its sponsorship includes both a financial commitment and donation of one of its Mini-Mamba pistols to be used in the program.

"At the Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation, we believe that teaching young people about firearm safety is about much more than firearms. It's about responsibility, discipline, confidence, respect, and giving kids an opportunity to participate in shooting sports in a safe and structured environment," Derek LeBlanc, president of the Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation, said. “Volquartsen Firearms shares that commitment to the next generation of shooters, and we're excited to have it join our growing family of sponsors. Their support helps us continue reaching young people and families with a positive message about safety and responsible participation in the shooting sports.”

"We are proud to partner with a company that understands the importance of investing in young people," LeBlanc continued. "The future of the shooting sports depends on the next generation, and that future starts with education, safety, mentorship, and positive experiences.”

Iowa-based Volquartsen Firearms is known for its precision-built firearms. The company has a passion for the shooting sports and its commitment to the Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation will help foster the next generation of shooting enthusiasts.

"There's always talk in our industry about the importance of the next generation to the future of the shooting sports — Derek and his team are actually doing something about it,” Volquartsen President Scott Volquartsen said. “We're proud to support a cause like this. In my view, few sports teach discipline and accountability the way shooting sports do.”

Volquartsen Firearms’ line of pistols includes a multitude of different designs. Founded in 1974, the company says that “‘handcrafted’ doesn't always mean ‘well-crafted,’ and that ‘Made in the USA’ doesn't always equate to quality.” That’s why the company says it's committed to using the best possible materials in its manufacturing processes and engineering its products to the highest standards.

“The Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation views partnerships with companies such as Volquartsen Firearms as an important part of expanding access to youth shooting-sports education and reaching more families,” Kids S.A.F.E. said in a release. “The foundation's programs emphasize that firearm safety is a lifelong responsibility. By combining classroom education with supervised, age-appropriate range experiences, the organization works to give young people the knowledge and habits necessary to participate responsibly.”
