For an armed robber in Lancaster, Texas, things didn’t exactly go according to plan.

The intended victim was outside of his apartment building when approached by the suspect, who then forced him to go upstairs into his apartment where his wife was.

The victim managed to get ahold of his gun, which resulted in a “gun battle” between the two. The fight continued as the victim chased the suspect down the stairs where he ultimately ended up in the victim’s Ford Expedition.

Police found the suspect dead in the vehicle. The “victim” was not injured in the gun fight.
