A Rosenberg, Texas, homeowner shot a burglar Sunday after the burglar entered his residence and pointed a gun at the homeowner. Here’s the full story:

A Rosenberg man who was shot multiple times while allegedly trying to break into a house remained Tuesday in the Fort Bend County Jail.

Alejandro Arrona, 19, was released from an area hospital on Monday after being treated for non-life-threatening injuries to his shoulder and leg, authorities said.

About 11 p.m. Sunday, Rosenberg police were dispatched to the 400 block of Blume Road after residents reported hearing gunshots, according to a news release.

When officers arrived, they found that a homeowner had shot another man who allegedly tried to break into the house.

Police said the armed suspect had allegedly pointed his gun at the homeowner.

Arrona was charged with aggravated robbery, attempted burglary of a habitation and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

The homeowner was not injured during the incident and was not facing charges, the release said.

The case will be referred to the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office, according to the release.

Thankfully, it looks like this courageous homeowner will end up safe and sound in what could have otherwise been a disastrous incident. The intruder, on the other hand, is receiving his just desserts in more ways than one.
