Kamala Harris wants to restrict the Second Amendment so badly that she’s willing to stomp all over the Constitution to do so. We know this because she’s admitted as much. She’s willing to legislate by decree, something that’s never been acceptable in this country.

Now, at a campaign stop, she says she’s ready to talk about “reasonable” gun control.

Presidential hopeful Sen. Kamala Harris was greeted with plenty support at Sunday night’s annual Dinnner of the Democrats held by Cuyahoga County.

“Over the course of these ensuing weeks, people have been asking me why. This is a reflection moment in the history of our country,” said Sen. Harris shortly after taking the stage as keynote speaker.

Another hot topic was her stance on Gun Control.

“We need reasonable gun safety laws in this country including universal background checks and a renewal of the assault weapons ban,” said Sen. Harris.

Sen. Harris wouldn’t know “reasonable” gun control if it hit her upside the head.

None of that is reasonable.

None of that is acceptable.

Universal background checks do little to nothing to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. Further, as we’ve seen in Sutherland Springs, Texas, and Aurora, Illinois, even if background checks are performed, criminals can still get guns through otherwise legal means.

Even when a criminal is pegged during the NICS check, there’s no effort expended on arresting them. They’re breaking the law by trying to buy a gun, and yet they’re rarely prosecuted.

So why, pray tell, should we law-abiding gun owners be forced to endure a background check on every transfer of a firearm, even to people we’ve known for decades when the government can’t handle its business?

And don’t even pretend an “assault weapon” ban is “reasonable.”

Harris explicitly says “renewal,” which suggests a return of the 1994 Assault Weapon Ban. You may be familiar with that ban. It’s the one that did absolutely nothing to the violent crime rate in this country.

To make matters worse, Harris has to know this. So why push it? It’s simple: she doesn’t like guns. More to the point, she doesn’t like people such as you or me having guns. She wants us stripped of our means of self-protection. She wants us beholden to governmental overlords for everything.

And yet, she dares speak of “reasonable?”

Sen. Kamala Harris doesn’t understand the meaning of the word. As such, there’s no way she’ll understand that we of the gun rights crowd have tried to be “reasonable” for years, and what happened? People like her have tried over and over again to whittle away our rights while offering nothing in return. They called it “reasonable” and made more and more demands as nothing happened. None of it stopped the criminals or even slowed them down.

Now, we’re done giving ground. We’re finished. There is no reasonable gun control, and we’re not going to be bullied into pretending there is, especially by a woman who seems to think it’s acceptable to create law with a stroke of the pen.
