Man Arrested For Breaking Into Police Cars To Steal Guns

We often hear that the problem with black market guns is that they’re stolen from people who bought them legally. We hear that if we get rid of lawful gun ownership, we won’t have to worry about black market guns.

Yet one group that’s almost never talked about as needing to be disarmed are the police. The truth is, most people who don’t have an anti-cop bias recognize that the police are often put in dangerous situations and need those firearms.

Too bad that they can be the victims of theft as well.

A Columbus man is accused of breaking into two Clinton Township police cruisers and stealing two guns.

According to court records, 23-year-old Malik Miller was arrested Friday and charged with theft.

According to Police Chief Michael Jones, a shotgun was stolen out of one of the cruisers and an AR-15 was stolen out of the other in August.

Now, no one is going to point to this and argue that the police shouldn’t be armed. Frankly, it would be an idiotic argument to even try to make and I think we all know that.

The thing is, police can be stolen from as well. While it takes a certain amount of cajones to steal from a police cruiser, it’s not an unheard of act by any stretch of the imagination. Miller isn’t the first, nor will he be the last. He’s just the latest. It’s just a matter of time before someone else tries it.

No one will seriously talk about disarming police, though. They’ll look to other potential solutions and try to attack the problem from a different angle because disarming cops is a non-starter.

Well, disarming us should be a non-starter as well. Taking guns away from law-abiding citizens who have done nothing wrong should be the ultimate non-starter, for crying out loud. Blaming us for people stealing from us is beyond wrong, it’s outright immoral, and yet anti-gunners will continue to push a narrative that law-abiding gun owners are somehow responsible for all the ills in the world.

Mass shootings? Supposedly our fault.

Gang shootings? Our fault.

Domestic terrorism? Our fault.

Pineapple on pizza? Our fault.

Justin Bieber? Again, our fault.

All the ills of the world are because we exercise our Second Amendment rights by keeping and bearing arms. We’re the source of guns, supposedly, despite the fact that criminals have show us over and over again they’ll do whatever they can to procure firearms for their illicit activities. Yes, that includes robbing the police.

Time and time again, we see ample evidence of just how determined the bad guys are to get guns. What kind of willful blindness is required to continue to believe that if we pass just a few more laws, we’ll somehow put a stop to their nefarious plans? They’re criminals, for crying out loud. They don’t actually care what the law says. They’re going to do whatever they’re going to do.

That includes robbing police cars because they know there are guns inside.

Go ahead. Tell me how gun control is going to stop that one.
