Gang-Bangers Arrested For Fresno Party Shooting

November of 2019 was rough for the state of California. One of the more egregious shootings the state saw was at a house party in Fresno, California. It was an awful event, one the media seems to have just glossed over.

After all, Fresno is in California, the most gun controlled state in the nation. There’s not a single gun control measure being considered at the federal level that hasn’t been on the books in California for years now, and yet something like this still happened.

Now, arrests have been made in the shooting.

Fresno police have arrested six gang members in connection with a mass shooting at a house party that killed four people and in jured six more. The attack shook the ethnic Hmong community in the Californian city and sparked a political debate about gun control.

The men are alleged to be part of the Mongolian Boys Society gang who police say were looking to avenge the death of one of their members when they stormed the house in the south east of the city on Sunday November 17.

At least two gunmen came into the backyard and began firing pistols at the property where about 40 people had gathered to watch a football game.

One of the weapons used had been modified for fully automatic fire, police said, according to the Fresno Bee.

Earlier that day, a gang member’s brother had been shot dead and they thought the culprit was part of the Asian Crips gang whose members were thought to be at the party. However, only one person at the house in East Lamona Avenue had any link to the Asian Crips.

So, not only were they gang members but they were carrying firearms that were illegally modified.

Which isn’t possible, of course, since California has some very strict gun control laws and even federal law prohibits modifying a weapon for full-auto without proper licenses. Why, it’s almost like gun control isn’t worth a damn, now isn’t it?

These are criminals who are part of a criminal organization yet obtained firearms in the most gun controlled state in the country, including one modified for full-auto fire. These are the very people we’re told are being targeted by gun control regulations, yet look what happened. A whole lot of people got shot and those same gun control laws amounted to jack and squat.

Look, I get the desire, but the truth of the matter is that criminals are going to obtain guns no matter what you do.

Meanwhile, though, there are a lot of Californians who aren’t able to purchase even the most common firearms because they’re simply not allowed in the state. Modern tactical rifles like the AR-15 are basically persona non grata in the state except in such heavily modified forms they’re barely recognizable as AR-15s. Meanwhile, so many new handgun models aren’t available in the state because the only lawful firearms are a handful approved by the state years ago, a list of guns that hasn’t kept up with new developments.

Yet criminals? Clearly they’re not impacted in the least.
