Anti-gunners in Minnesota haven't gotten the message. Their previous attempts at pushing their gun control agenda have come up short despite the full court press from activists and their media buddies to try and guilt-trip them into passing anti-gun measures, so they're trying yet again.
This time, though, they're not rolling out a series of bills that have to be voted on, like what Virginia did. No, this time they're going whole hog, because if individual measures can't survive, putting them all in one bill is sure to garner support.
Yes, that's what the National Association for Gun Rights called them out for doing.
The National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR) used an X post Monday to warn Minnesotans that Democrat lawmakers are trying to push through a gun ban via SF 4067.
SF 4067 is titled the Omnibus Firearms Bill, and the Minnesota Senate is readying a vote on it.
NAGR pointed out that SF 4067 will ban some of the most commonly owned semiautomatic rifles in America, “ban magazines over 17 rounds, … expand ‘Red Flag’ gun confiscation, ban privately manufactured firearms, and ban binary triggers,” among other things.
Breitbart News spoke with NAGR president Dudley Brown, who said, “Over and over, the Minnesota DFL and Senator Zaynab Mohamed (DFL) have tried to force gun control down the throats of Americans. Now they’ve combined all of these efforts into a single giant gun grab bill.”
Of course, that was yesterday. Last night, the Senate voted to advance the bill straight down party lines.
While it doesn't seem likely that the House will vote in favor of the bill, the Senate was also resistant to gun bans of any kind before last night. Three DFL senators flipped on the issue, backed the bill, and now it's going to the House, where we have to hope the even split between the parties will keep the bill from going any further.
I don't think that'll be an issue, because anti-gunners will have to flip at least one Republican, and so far, they've been holding firm on gun issues. This one is particularly egregious because it's an omnibus gun control bill. It seems unlikely that they'll be able to even necessarily get a vote, much less like the outcome if they did.
Meanwhile, this is the same DFL Party that's so concerned about child safety that they refuse to come to the table on actual school safety funding being extended to private and tribal schools, despite all their grandstanding about a shooting that happened at a private school. They don't care about any of that; they just want to use the bodies of those two poor children as a soapbox to attack you and me, all while still leaving Annunciation vulnerable to another attack.
It's downright disgusting, but it's also what I've come to expect from anti-gunners.
If you're in Minnesota, call your representatives. Make sure they know where you stand, because every call helps bolster their resolve if they're pro-gun, or loosen it if they're not. This bill is nasty and should not be allowed to pass. No one needs Minnesota to turn into California.
Editor’s Note: The radical Left will stop at nothing to enact their radical gun control agenda and strip us of our Second Amendment rights.
