Yeah, That California Gun Control Is Working Just Great...

California has the strictest gun control regulations in the entire nation, and while it's still less than many nations have, it's only because the Second Amendment won't let them get away with more. We all know it, just like we all know that despite the claims of gun control advocates, it doesn't actually do anything.

And we know that because we've seen the evidence with our own two eyes, up to and including the would-be assassin at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

Plus, we've got this incident, too.

Four people were shot, one of them fatally, at a high school graduation in Fairfield, California, Wednesday around 7:15 p.m.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of Fairfield High School, which was hosting the graduation ceremony for Sem Yeto Continuation High School, the Sacramento Bee reported.

CBS News noted that the wounded individuals are 11, 20, and 25. The deceased individual was 18 years old.

According to this piece, the shooter is still at large.

Now, let's keep in mind that not only are schools gun-free zones almost everywhere, especially for non-staff or police, but that didn't stop this shooter from opening fire on a school campus on the day of a graduation ceremony.

As it stands, we don't know enough to say which gun control laws failed here, but considering California's gun laws, we can speculate. For example, California has universal background checks, which didn't seem to stop this shooter from getting a firearm. Considering where this happened and the ages of those who were shot, there's a high likelihood that the killer is under the age of 21, which is the federal age limit for handgun purchases--yes, I'm assuming it was a handgun, because that's the gun most likely used. That didn't accomplish much, especially since he couldn't lawfully buy it from a private individual while underage, as can happen in many other states.

California also has magazine restrictions, which didn't seem to help these four people. They've also got a roster of approved handguns, and that's supposed to accomplish something, but didn't here.

Plus, don't be surprised if this is a privately made firearm, often termed a "ghost gun" by the media.

Regardless, what we know is that this happened in the most gun-controlled state in the nation, and it didn't make national headlines because it's just not that unusual, even for California. Of course, this will get lumped in as a "mass shooting" by the usual suspects, all while they tell us we need the exact same laws as California, while ignoring that this happened there.

Honestly, it's exhausting how often we see this script play out, especially since we know almost everything they're screaming that we absolutely, totally need right now wouldn't do a blasted thing to save lives.

Then we have the fact that when we get down into the facts that will likely surface in this case, we'll find a history of gang activity on the part of one or more of the victims and/or the shooter. The location was just a convenient place for the shooter to ambush his target, and since these guys suck at shooting, it's probably a case of some innocents being hit unintentionally.

Again, we know the script all too well, and it has nothing to do with guns or gun control.
