Giffords and other gun control organizations like to say that they don't want to destroy the Second Amendment. They claim to respect your right to keep and bear arms. They just want some "common sense" regulations that will make the world safer for little kittens and puppies.
Sure, their founder once told a Time reporter, "No more guns," but that didn't count.
Nope, they just want a few regulations and nothing more, and their latest endorsement proves their sincerity.
We’re proud to endorse Dr. @AbdulElSayed for the US Senate in Michigan!

Dr. El-Sayed understands that America’s gun violence crisis is a public health emergency—one that must be met with urgency and commonsense gun safety laws. We’re proud to work alongside Michiganders to elect… pic.twitter.com/5GgEbGenJk
Of course, El-Sayed's idea of "commonsense gun safety laws" is to "tweak" the Constitution so there's no right to keep and bear arms left.
Remember, this isn't some misrepresentation of his positions. These are his actual words. This is what he actually suggested. He said he wanted to replace it with a "right" to healthcare. This wasn't a misrepresentation or misinterpretation. It was what he said.
And Giffords just endorsed him for the Senate.
Now, on one hand, I'm not sure what else I would expect them to do. They're an anti-gun organization; he's an anti-gun candidate. Considering he's besties with a terrorism apologist like Hasan Piker, we can speculate as to why he might want to see ordinary, decent, everyday Americans disarmed in the face of Islamic extremism, among other threats, but it really would just be speculation.
On the other, the reality is that if they want to convince us they don't have an interest in taking away our gun rights, maybe they should think about not supporting the guy who literally wants to "tweak" them out of existence in every practical way.
But then again, anti-gunners never do that, do they?
For all their talk about just wanting a few regulations — a few tweaks, if you will — they never seem to shout down the anti-gun extremists. They might distance themselves from time to time, and only from the worst of the worst in that regard, but they never shut them down and say, "No. The right to keep and bear arms is still a civil right. We don't want to take it away from people!"
They could have just not issued an endorsement in the Michigan Senate race. They didn't. They're proud to endorse El-Sayed. That's telling, because the truth is that no matter what the groups say, what they want is what El-Sayed wants. They want to make it all go away tomorrow, if they can, and leave us praying that the criminals will just pass us by for someone else.
They keep tipping their hand, and what's worse is that no matter how often we call them out, no one in the mainstream media treats this as anything but "Republicans pounce," if they even acknowledge it at all.
But we see.
We remember.
We remind.
We will still be here no matter how much they hope we will just vanish into the woodwork forever. We won't. We can remind them of who they supported from now until the end of time. You know, people like uber-creep Eric Swalwell, for example.
Editor’s Note: The radical Left will stop at nothing to enact their radical gun control agenda and strip us of our Second Amendment rights.
