I’m jealous: Hank Strange has a Desert Tactical bullpup sniper rifle for testing and evaluation, and even has the opportunity to experiment with the rifle’s caliber conversion capability.
Desert Tactical (DTA) sent this Bullpup Bolt Action Sniper Rifle to Hank Strange for Testing and Evaluation. The HTI which stands for Hard Target Interdiction developed by the company (now known as Desert Tech) by specific military customer request, and has some very cool caliber, and caliber conversion kit options including: .50 Browning Machine Gun (BMG) .375 CheyTac .416 Barrett and .408 CheyTac. Hank decided to do a Takedown / conversion video to illustrate how easily the gun can be disassembled for cleaning or transformed into another caliber.
As .375 CheyTac runs about $7.10 per cartridge and .50 BMG is both far more common, cheaper, and come in wider array of bullet types, the conversion makes a heck of a lot of sense, especially if you don’t need to reach out to the 2,500+ yard distances.
