Anti-Gunners Flock to Twitter to Slam NRA, Trump

Since the election, anti-gunners have taken to Twitter to slam the NRA and their backing of now President-elect Donald Trump.

At least if you’re going to use our mantra, make sure you use it in the right context. Then again, this is what happens when you listen to the Brady Campaign’s “Toddlers Killer” initiative.

We’re not opposed to criminal background checks. We’re opposed to expanding a system that is severely flawed. As it is, 38 states provide only 80 percent of their convictions to the FBI, meaning the National Instant Background Check System (NICS) isn’t comprehensive.

The NRA does represent its more than 5 million members. Every NRA member has different issues that he or she are passionate about. Some members happen to work for gun manufacturers and dealers. That doesn’t mean that the NRA speaks only for those members.

Actually, if you go back and look, the NRA was the one who proposed the National Instant Background Check System. They did this purposely to keep guns away from criminals.

Why are anti-gunners so quick to compare the NRA to extreme groups like the Ku Klux Klan? The NRA doesn’t force legislators to sign bills into law. They simply educate the ill-informed about gun issues as a means of protecting their members.

Last time I checked, the people who are committing doing drive-bys are criminals who don’t follow gun laws.

Yeah, because gun owners wouldn’t see through that.
