WATCH: Colion Noir Refutes Virginia Governor's Call For Gun Control

Earlier this week, America was distraught after our Congressional leaders were attacked by a gunman in Virginia. While most political leaders were quick to come together to show bipartisan unity and condemn the suspect, Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe (D) used the tragedy that was still unfolding to push for gun control.

Information was still coming in about the gunman. We knew nothing about his background or how he acquired the firearm used during the attack. We didn’t even know what kind of gun was used. Governor McAuliffee wasted no time, however, calling for increased background checks and closing gun show loopholes. He used his state’s time of tragedy to push his own political agenda.

Did it ever occur to McAuliffee that the moment he chose was not the time to talk about gun control? No. Of course not.

NRATV’s Colion Noir explains why anti-gunners, like McAuliffe, make these moves during times of crises.

“He didn’t know if this guy got the gun from a gun show. He didn’t know if this guy passed a background check to get it. But he still brought it up out of nowhere,” Noir explains. “Here’s what I’ve come to realize: For anti-gun politicians, gun control is what you talk about when you don’t want to talk about the truth.”
