Mediaite claims Duck Dynasty "assault rifles" are on the loose.

“You Can Now Buy Your Very Own Duck Dynasty Assault Rifle” screams the headline on Mediaite.

Of course, there are no Duck Dynasty branded firearms in existence.

Not. One.

The Robertson-Mossberg collaboration is through the family’s long running Duck Commander brand, not through A&E’s television show.

The three Duck Commander branded .22LR firearms are all based off the 702 Plinkster action, which is a budget plinking (informal, recreation target shooting) rifle as the “Plinkster” name clearly indicates.

They are not “assault rifles.”

We don’t expect much in the way of competence from the mainstream media. Somehow, many segments of the new media are even worse.
