The suspects wrecked their car into a child’s playhouse next to a home and then took off on foot, throwing a least one gun and drugs into the homeowner’s yard as they fled.

Homeowner Tim Moore and his neighbor Scott Eastwood—a concealed carry permit holder—took over the chase when the lone Cedar Rapids officer chasing the men fell and suffered a shoulder injury.

The two men then cornered the five suspects and Eastwood held them at gunpoint until additional officers arrived to make the arrests.
