Bad*ss New Bullpup: the Lithgow Arm F90 Atrax

I’ve long been a fan of Steyr rifles. The Steyr Scout is the scout rifle by which all others are judged, and the AUG remains one of the most iconic military assault rifles ever created.

Now an Australian company called Lithgow Arms has created the Australian military’s next generation assault rifle, the F90, based off the AUG.

Lithgow Arms USA is planning to release their new Atrax bullpup rifle in early 2017. The Atrax bullpup is based on the new F90 Australian service rifle. Of course both the Atrax and F90 bullpups are based on the Steyr AUG which dates back to the 1970’s. We take a look at the F90 and compare it to the Steyr AUG and talk about the new Atrax rifle.

The Atrax version of the rifle will be a semi-automatic-only variant which will presumably hit the U.S. market next year. I’ll be very interested to see if they have one on the range at SHOT Show in January.
