Earlier this year Townhall Media launched its 2024 GOP presidential primary straw poll to give our audience a chance to weigh in on a crowded GOP field vying for the Republican nomination in 2024.

More than 60,000 votes were cast over the last four months, and when the ballots were tallied former President Trump emerged as the clear front-runner, with over 60% of the vote. Florida governor Ron DeSantis was a distant second at 24%, with Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy finishing third and fourth, respectively.

Those were the results across all of the Townhall Media properties, including Townhall.com, RedState, Twitchy, and HotAir, but they’re mostly in line with where Bearing Arms readers were this summer. In our poll specifically, Trump was in first place, though DeSantis was a closer second, and Vivek Ramaswamy was in third place with Nikki Haley right behind.

Now that the third debate is over and with the first primaries just a couple of months away, Townhall Media wants to get a sense of where we (and you) stand today. We’ve now zeroed out our poll in order to give us the most up-to-date data, but we need your help!

Even if you’ve voted in the past, please vote today.  You’ll get the live results emailed directly to you, and we will have an update next week here on the site giving folks the latest totals. Have you changed your mind over the past few months, or has your support for your favorite candidate only solidified? Does Donald Trump’s support for a bump stock ban (which will soon be considered by the Supreme Court) make you less likely to support him, or have his judicial picks that helped deliver a huge win in Bruen negated your concerns? Has Ron DeSantis’s signing of permitless carry legislation made you a fan, or would you prefer a political outsider like Ramaswamy to go to D.C. and clean house?
